It’s rather bizarre going to see something that signifies spring, in the freezing snowy conditions that the ‘beast from the east’ kindly brought us.
We made the trip down to RHS Wisley to see the butterflies in the glass house. Historically, I would always go with my parents to see the butterflies so we thought we should carry on this little tradition and make a trip down to see what all the fuss was about.
Once you get over the staggering humidity of the glass house (and the camera lens adjusts) it’s the ultimate photographers paradise – especially as we had gone on a weekday and the place was quiet.
Apparently they had over 50 species of free-flying butterflies but here are a few of my faves…
I need to get a little better with the camera – I seem to have somehow forgotten many of the skills I had learnt but it was a great day out!
Now I want to try and photograph some of these beauties in the wild… let the fun commence.
