Surely I’m not the only one who is starting to think about what I’m doing or where I’m going in life. I wasn’t one of the blessed few who grew up knowing what I wanted to be, and truth be told, I still don’t know.
In an attempt to give my life some much needed structure and steer me away from flapping as much as I did in 2017, I’ve created some life goals that I am hoping to achieve in the 365 days until I’m frantically writing a vaguely similar post to this one!
I want a new job. Not as easy as it sounds given I’m still not 100% sure what I want to do with my future. Many moons ago I had my heart set on being a vet, but instead of following that dream I ended up stupidly being put off the idea by a teacher. So I am now in the market for a new challenge; all ideas welcome!
As travel is the one and only thing to keep me sane I really should devote more time to it. I’m already looking at potential places to add to my 2018 travel list, and will of course keep you all updated on where I end up. I think three holidays should do it…
Finally buy a house. Up until now I have been really scared of this stage of my life. It’s the final and largest leap into successful adulting (well apart from becoming a parent) and something I have been putting off for several years. Seriously stupid I know. I think I’m going to ensure I’m brave enough to change this in 2018 – I have all year at least!
This may sound like a particularly strange life goal but in 2018 I’d like to have a little more time with my friends. Reconnecting with old friends, making new ones and being so bold as to cut those out of my life who have been enjoying the ride without a care. As we get older our lives are filled with different priorities and I’m the first to admit that I’ve been really bad on this front. I really want this to change in 2018.
I have a few much smaller life goals – I would like to attend a few events, increase my blog following and buy a couple of handbags to add to my ever growing collection but I can tell you about these bits as they happen during the year.

What are your lifegoals for 2018? I know we never really know whats around the corner but a little bit of goal setting never hurt anyone!
