Tortworth Court; Cotswolds Staycation – Part 2

After a peaceful countryside walk, we headed to our hotel. We had picked the Grade II listed De Vere Tortworth Court hotel as our overnight stay of choice (Thank you

It’s safe to say that we weren’t disappointed!

Although most of the hotel has been refurbished (they still have a little way to go on some of it!) it still has its historic charm with a twist of modern elegance.

Check out the vintage car…

The expansive grounds were stunning. Think quintessential British rolling lawns, rose beds and a few modern sculptures. It really made for a perfect mix!

I was even able to find my new favourites, the humble Bumble Bee…

After checking in and a quick saunter around the grounds we sat down to an afternoon tea. Just what the doctor ordered…

We even got to use the spa! An afternoon swim, sauna and Jacuzzi is the ultimate way to relax for those of you who haven’t tried it. I have to admit that I didn’t take pictures of the spa or of the room, I forgot in all the excitement (note to self to not do this again!)

Naturally we settled down for another feast (at this point it’s clear I’m a bit of a foodie).

After a long day indulging in a little too much food, we retreated back to our room with a bottle of red, to dream about what tomorrow has in store…
