A Cotswolds Staycation – Part 1

There is nothing better than a staycation. Fact!

This time we ended up (once again) in the Cotswolds. Probably one of the best parts of the country if you ask me. A simple hop, skip and jump away from London it’s the perfect place for a quick retreat.

We had booked to stay at the wonderful Tortworth Court Hotel, a Victorian mansion bought by De Vere and now a fantastic place to stay.

But first I ensured we stopped off, donned some walking boots and wellies and set off for a trundle around the Cotswold’s Water Park.

I desperately tried to get some good photos of the cattle but they kept moo-ving away…

P.s for those of you interested in local produce – be sure to have a look here…

It’s still the right time of year to find blackberries ripening…

But we were sure to avoid the quicksand (!)…

Strolling back to the car we we drove on to the hotel and were amazed by what we saw…

What a start to our weekend away!
