Inspire me…

I have to admit, I like many of you, currently feel uninspired by my work environment. It’s not the fact that I don’t enjoy the sector that I work in, or the tasks that I do on a daily basis, but I just feel that the final piece of that ‘work holy grail’ puzzle is missing.

Now, don’t get me wrong, a job isn’t usually a walk in the park and at times any role we take on can be demanding and stressful. But in the famous words of the ancient Chinese sage Confucius ‘Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life’. I desperately want to be part of the lucky few who adore what they do on a daily basis, when no day is ever a chore. In reality, will this ever happen, I have to admit I’m not so sure. However, I have made the decision to get the ball rolling and get as close as I can to this utopia of never having to work a day in my life simply because I love what I do.

So whilst reflecting on what I may want to do, and which direction to take my career in, I had the tiniest of brain waves. So *drumroll please* here is the ‘Inspire Series’ designed to do just that!

I have been very fortunate to be surrounded by wonderful and inspiring women my entire life. They are intelligent, determined and simply phenomenal at whatever they turn their hands too. I class myself as very lucky to be related to them or class them as friends. These posts will pop up sporadically as some of them will be a little hard to pin down I’m sure. Do bear with it though, I hope this will really be worth the wait.

Before people say ‘what about us gents’. Don’t get me wrong, men have achieved incredible things too. But I want to make this different and let women inspire other women. What is stopping us setting up our own businesses or going freelance? What is preventing us from finding a career we love? Obviously apart from a little hard work, not much.

So if you, like me, are feeling uninspired take a look. One of these lovely ladies may hold the key to getting your creative juices flowing! Or if you are one of these lovely ladies who has created your own empire, or are on the way to doing so, do get in touch!
